The end is a new beginning.

The term separation was first heard in 2024, and it didn't just apply to the popular American series. For it was then that Western Digital announced that it was beginning the process of separating into two independent companies. The board of directors decided that the transformation would take 12 months so as to perfectly prepare the division of the corporation. And so, at the end of February 2025, the final separation into Western Digital and Sandisk was confirmed.
The former covered the HDD sector - from home products, to NAS servers, monitoring or PCs, to the most powerful and capacious enterprise-class solutions dedicated to data centers.
Sandisk, on the other hand, is centered around SSD media and the SanDisk, SanDisk Professional and WD_BLACK brands. Its portfolio, therefore, includes solutions dedicated not only to photography, video, gaming or entertainment enthusiasts, but every user who collects their digital memories, the results of their work or libraries of games and movies. Sandisk's guiding principle is to reach out to everyone and show them a safe yet convenient way to store and protect their files. It is worth noting that Sandisk's offer applies to every electronics user without exception - you use an iOS or Android phone, a Mac or PC, tablets, PlayStation or Xbox consoles, or maybe a Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck - there are dedicated products for each of these solutions. It should be noted that there are products for not only enthusiasts, but also professionals - photographers, video creators and e-sportsmen.
Tabasco, although associated with Western Digital for more than 14 years, has remained Sandisk's PR and marketing agency. It is worth noting on this occasion that the company's name, although it sounds familiar, is a brand new corporation established at the beginning of March 2025. The agency's responsibilities include media relations, cooperation with media and influencers, but also marketing activities.
